The Annual Gunung Sewu Youth Summit began with a simple idea. Why not bring together youth and emerging leaders for a day event where they could network, learn, and have fun? The Annual Youth Summit would provide a unique environment where this could take place. The Group has always believed that well-informed people make the best possible decisions for themselves. Our Annual Youth Summit provides the opportunity to put that principle into action.
This year, Gunung Sewu hosted their Annual Youth Summit on October 25th, 2017 at Menara Mandiri, Jakarta. Students of top universities were invited to join as they explored issues through a series of interactive group sessions and panel discussions.
The theme for this year was “Agile Leadership for Sustainability”. Students attending the summit had the opportunity to sharpen their agile mindset and leadership skills as they attended workshops on topics including digital media, start-up business, career planning, as well as community responsibility from the experts. The Summit includes inspiring keynote speakers namely Anton Wirjono (Founder of Goods Dept), Arief Widhiyasa (CEO of Agate Studio), Putry Yuliastutik (Founder of Kostoom), Husodo Angkosubroto (Chairman of Gunung Sewu), Jean-Pierre Felenbok (Bain & Company), Richard Anthony (Managing Director of Re.juve) and Shahnaz Haque as the host of the panel discussion.
